You have worked – and played against – many great coaches in your career. If you could add any collegiate head coach to your staff, who would it be and why?

Jim Grobe, the Wake Forest head coach, he's the best combination of coach and genuine person that I know.

How do you define your responsibility as a football coach?

It's a gift to be in the position I'm in and I owe it to myself to serve the best that I possibly can.

What coach did you most admire growing up and why?

Woody Hayes. I'm from Ohio so my dad said I had to like him. Also, I've read many articles and books about him and admired how much he helped people outside of the football world. Not many people know that about Coach Hayes.

What are the top three things you demand from your student-athletes?

Character, academics, football.

Tell us about a favorite charity that you support.

Kid's Connection Club that supports underprivileged kids in the city of Richmond, KY.

How do you incorporate the philosophy of "winning the right way" with your team?

Through our core values – structure, discipline and our character development program.

Fill in the blank. If I weren't coaching football, I'd be ________.

Running a home for boys that don't have a place to call home.

Outside of Roy Kidd Stadium, what is the most electric atmosphere you've played in?

Death Valley – Clemson, SC.

What is your favorite book of all-time?

Number one – The Bible and a second would be Uprising by Erwin Raphael McManus.

What sports did you play in high school? What was your best?

Football and basketball, I liked basketball better at the time.
