Ferentz coaches young men by treating them fairly, always positive in his techniques. He models the traits he teaches and expects from his student athletes: honesty, dependability, team work, consistency, and perseverence. ~ Tim Anderson


About This Coach

Over the past eleven seasons, Coach Ferentz has led the Hawkeyes to eight bowl bids and been named Big Ten Coach of the Year three times, most recently in 2009. His coaching career began at the University of Connecticut, his alma mater, where he was an academic all-Yankee Conference linebacker. Outside of coaching, Ferentz has served as the honorary chair of Iowa’s United Way campaign and sits on the National Advisory Board of the Bethesda Family Service Foundation.
