About This Coach

In his nine years as TCU’s head coach, Coach Patterson has led the Horned Frogs to three conference titles, six 10+ win seasons, and eight bowl appearances. Patterson’s 12-0 record and conference championship in 2009 earned him Mountain West Conference Coach of the Year and his team a BCS bowl appearance. Prior to his arrival in Fort Worth, Patterson coached for New Mexico, Navy, and Kansas State, his alma mater, where he played strong safety and outside linebacker while earning his degree in physical education.
