I learned so many things about the defensive side of the ball with Coach. He was interested not only in my performance on the field, but also in the classroom. I am proud to tell everyone I know that I played at SU under Coach Briggs. ~ Michael Gerhart
Coach Briggs has been head coach at Susquehanna University for twenty years. During his tenure, he has compiled thirteen winning seasons and was honored as the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth Coach of the Year after guiding the Crusaders to their first Commonwealth championship in 1999. Prior to joining the SU staff, Briggs coached at Lehigh, the University of Richmond, Bowdoin College, and Springfield College, his alma mater, where he lettered in football and earned a B.S. in health and fitness.
