Coach Atterberry has cleaned up the image and attitude of the program, and winning has come with that change. He has put in place a foundation for a program that will once again be a dominant force in football. ~ Jim Ripple
Bo Atterberry joined the Javelina staff in 2007 after serving as defensive coordinator at Southeastern Oklahoma, which won or shared the Lone Star Conference North Division title each of the three years he coached. Since taking over as head coach at Texas A&M—Kingsville, the Javelinas have shown steady improvement, proving in 2008 to be the most prolific passing team in the school’s history and finishing the season ranked 12th in the nation for passing, 7th for rushing defense and 4th in kickoff returns in Division II.
