Steve Staker

About This Coach

Coach Staker was named head coach of the Kohawks in 2008, having previously served as defensive coordinator, linebackers coach and recruiting coordinator. Prior to arriving at Coe, he spent 35 years as head football coach at Fredericksburg High School in Iowa, where his teams won six district titles and a state championship in 2001. Staker was named to the Iowa Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 1994 and was the Class A Coach of the Year in 2001.

  • Team volunteered at Arthur Elementary Walkathon, signing autographs and speaking to students
  • Players and coach volunteered with Special Olympics in the off-season
