The current president of the AFCA is also responsible for quite a legendary career on the field as he maintains a .635 winning percentage in his 31 years as a head coach. He was hired by Montana State in 2007 after spending the previous 18 seasons as head coach at Drake. The 2010 Big Sky Coach of the Year, in just his fifth season is one of Montana State’s all-time winningest coaches and has led the Bobcats to a second straight FCS playoff berth in 2011. In the past year alone, Montana State players and coaches have compiled over 800 hours of community service.

- Coach is involved with the Coach to Cure MD program
- Coach is a spokesperson for the Jason Foundation, which works to prevent teen suicides
- Coach has made financial donations to Montana State in the last year
